Scouting for food is our major service project for the year. As service is one of the great pillars of scouting, it is essential to get as many people participating as possible. This is a chance to help feed hungry families over the holidays.
On Saturday (11/1) from 9 to 11 am, there will be someone in the parking lot at Monteith to pass out bags and give you a route. You do not have to pass out the bags on Saturday, but most of us do. Reminder that there is no school that Tuesday for elections, which is another option. Please have the bags distributed by Thursday.
If you can't make it the first Saturday, let us know and we can arrange an alternative pick up for the bags.
On the following Saturday (11/8), you will go back to the houses where you delivered bags and pick up any food left on porches. You will then bring the food to Monteith.
If you are able to distribute bags, but can't make the 2nd Saturday, please let us know so we can have someone with a nearby route pick up for you.
Immediately following bag collection, we will have a small BBQ (hot dogs, chips, etc.) and our high sellers will throw a pie in the cubmaster's face.
